Collection: 7.3 Powerstroke all parts
The Ford Powerstroke used an international 7.3 engine from 1989 - 2003, international added a turbocharger and changed turbo designs 3 times.
The first turbocharged 7.3 engines used a to4e turbo charger, we have this rebuild kit listed under our precision turbo rebuild kits. The 1995-1998 used a smaller compressor housing than the 1999-2003 7.3 turbo charger and the bearing housing and compressor housing oring were different sizes, we included both orings in the rebuild kit to fit all the GTP38 turbo chargers used on the 7.3 Powerstroke from 1995-2003.
Our 7.3 Powerstroke compressor housing and billet wheel upgrades fit the 1999-2003 GTP38 turbochargers only. The 1995-1998 model bearing housing were designed differently for the bearing housing oring which requires the matching plate behind the compressor housing.
The 1995-1997 7.3 turbochargers used a t4 flange turbine housing and the 1998-2003 turbos used a vband flange turbine housing. It’s very common for the 1998-2003 model trucks to have exhaust leaks before the turbo due to the up-pipes leaking. This causing loss of power which often makes people think the turbo is bad when the up-pipes are leaking causing the turbo to not get get exhaust pressure to compress air into engine.
