DAW flow max N54 turbo rebuild kit

DAW flow max N54 turbo rebuild kit

Here is a great video I made reviewing the flaws with the DAW Flow Max N54 turbo upgrade.

These flaws are fixable to make these turbos reliable.  The major flaw of the DAW flow max turbo is the thrust bearing oil holes being too small.  The small oil holes in the thrust bearing starves the turbo of lubrication and cooling, which cause the thrust bearing to fail above 22 psi.  Our rebuild kit has larger oil feed holes in the thrust bearing which fixes this problems and makes the DAW flow max turbos reliable.

The wastegate repair kit bushings of the DAW Flow Max are 0.790” outside diameter which is larger than OEM size. I had to make my own bushings to fix these, I’m going to develop the proper size bushings, to sell as a kit.

Here are the upgraded rebuild kits that I have for the DAW flow max, these rebuild kits also fit the RB N54 turbo upgrade. Many N54 turbo upgrades do not use the same rebuild kit so be sure to confirm the size of your bearings, and the pin location on the thrust bearing.
